Job Role: Building and facilities support
Level of duties: Level 1
Salary: £7.89 per hour (pro rata) Term time only
Hours of work: 11.30am – 2pm (2.5 hours per day- 12.5 hours per week)
Under the direction of the Kitchen Manager within the school, provide and maintain a high standard of catering in the school in accordance with the expectations of the headteacher.
Under the direction of the Kitchen Manager:
That all areas of the kitchen and dining hall facilities are prepared
Preparation of food and drink for consumption by children
All areas of kitchen and dining hall are cleaned and maintained
Be aware of comply with policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety, security and confidentiality, reporting all concerns to the appropriate person
Ensure that all health and safety policies are adhered to
That all kitchen and cleaning equipment is used in a safe manner and any faults/incidents are reported to the appropriate member of staff
Ensure that all policies and procedures on the safeguarding children adhered to and all concerns are reported to the appropriate member of staff
Operate all kitchen equipment in a safe and appropriate manner
Ensure the orderly, secure and correct storage of food at all times
Inform the appropriate person, information relating to the provision of food stock and kitchen equipment
To work as part of a team and support the role of others at all times contributing to the overall work and ethos of the school
To undertake personal development through training and other learning activities
Be aware and comply with policies and procedures relating to the safeguarding of children, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to the Kitchen Manager or headteacher
