The Sports Grant is given to school to promote physical education and competitive sport. These reports shows how we intended to spend  the grants in 2020-21 and 2021-22, how this was implemented and its impact on the pupils of the school. 

Overview of the school:

The reports also information on swimming data and the percentage of Year 6 pupils who can competently, confidently and proficiently swim a distance of at least 25 metres. It also reports on the percentage of pupils who can use a range of strokes and perform safe self-rescue procedures in different water based situations. 

Curriculum Focus of Sports Grant Report

The report is divided into five key indicators:

• the engagement of all pupils in regular physical activity
• the profile of PESSPA being raised across the school for whole school improvement
• increased confidence, knowledge and skills of all staff in teaching PE and Sport
• broader experience of a range of sports and activities offered to all pupils
• increased participation in competitive sport
