Blackburn with Darwen Adult Learning have produced a newsletter with support and information. It includes a service update, some useful telephone numbers and web links, a picture quiz to keep your brain active and a few photos from some of our staff, whilst out getting daily exercise! They hope to publish further newsletters in the future.
Their website www.bwdlearning.org has been updated with lots of home learning activities you can take part in. Everything from creative activities to connecting with nature, to simple cooking recipes you can try at home and exercises you can undertake in your living room. Blackburn with Darwen Adult Learning team are adding content daily so pop by and have a look.
Many of their team are actively involved in the Help Hub which has been set up by the Council. If you are in desperate need of food, are worried about paying for gas and electricity, or need support for your mental wellbeing while you’re isolated at home, get in touch with the BwD Help Hub via www.blackburn.gov.uk or by calling 01254 588111 (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, Saturday/Sunday 9am to 12pm).
Their team is also starting to provide 1:1 support with anyone struggling to use video calling or social media to stay connected, completing and updating CVs, covering letters or online applications and help with ICT issues around universal credit.
