Areas of Learning

We aim to develop every child's knowledge, skills, understanding and experiences in six key areas of learning: academic, physical, creative, cultural, entrepreneurship, and moral and spiritual.

The school is also committed to ensuring that the every child matters outcomes are achieved. The five outcomes are: be healthy, achieve and enjoy, economic well-being, make a positive contribution and stay safe.

Lower Darwen expects high standards of behaviour and learning from everyone involved in the school as it strives for excellence in all aspects of school life. The school rules are based around our school motto: 'We are proud of our school.'
