Governor Protocol

Governors’ need to attend all committee meetings for their designated committees. If governors’ miss more than three consecutive full governing body meetings a letter will be sent to ask if they wish to resign.
All governors’ will arrive at meetings fully prepared including any reports, governor handbook and school development plan.
All governors’ will arrive on time for all meetings and any apologies will be reported to the school in good time.
Governors’ will not raise any issues which are personal at any meetings.
Governors’ will direct any parent issues by guiding them to discuss with the school or head teacher.
Governors’ will add and items to be discussed to the agenda of relevant committees.
Governors’ may visit school at any time but as a courtesy should inform the head teacher.
Governors’ will consult the head teacher re: lesson observations and drop ins.
Governors’ should not feedback to teachers directly this should be discussed with the head teacher.
Governors’ will attend as many activities as possible to support the school.
Governors will be committed to becoming involved in the fabric of the school.
